2018 / 2019

Continuity and certainty are paramount in 2018 and 2019! Volunteers from Foundation South Africa take over the coordination of the Hospice. This ensures the continued education and care for the orphaned children in our day care. The Hospice could no longer carry out its activities due to the decision of the South African government not to provide financial support to NCP organizations. After a year, we are satisfied with how the teachers, staff, and manager of MDCC have handled this change. Due to current capacity, only 60 children can be accommodated. The goal is to hire an additional teacher in 2020 so that we can accommodate 10 extra children and provide more time for the personal and medical attention these children need.

2020

EMERGENCY COVID-19 AID! Due to the #lockdown, many children are at risk of malnutrition because they miss their daily meals at school. Also, Masechaba’s day care is closed. Therefore, we immediately started distributing #foodpackages, including to foster families.

2020

Distribution of Food Packages due to COVID-19!
