About Masechaba

About Masechaba

Masechaba Foundation is a focused and community-driven Waterlands project, dedicated to making a positive impact. We work closely with volunteers from the Masechaba Bethlehem Foundation in South Africa, ensuring meticulous oversight of fund allocation and project implementation. The collaborative effort is sustained entirely by volunteers from both locations, exemplified by the Daycare Centre named “the Bishop Koopman Masechaba Building,” paying homage to the initiative of Graham Bishop from Bethlehem and Bert Koopman from Waterland.

INSPIRATIE EN MOTIVATIE

Our motivation stems from witnessing firsthand the transformative power of our efforts. We see damaged children thrive, and we provide a dignified last phase of life for seriously ill children. This success is attributed to our clear focus and partnerships with Foundation Masechaba and Hospice Golden Gateway. As Nelson Mandela wisely said, “We can change the world and make it a better place. It is in your hands to make a difference.” Mandela remains a profound inspiration for us.

FOCUS

Our unwavering focus is on supporting vulnerable children in the Bethlehem region, South Africa. We channel our efforts into key projects, including the Masechaba Day Centre (shelter for orphaned children), Maluti Hoogland School (practical education for children with learning difficulties), Food Program, and Container Project.
The small-scale nature of our project, coupled with the dedication of our volunteers, ensures that the proceeds directly benefit orphaned children and their projects. Join us in making a meaningful impact in the lives of these children.
